"Will you really understand my experience?" →
I'm Sherolde Hackett, a Black woman, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and advocate for BIPOC women's mental health liberation. With my MSW from Boston University and over 20 years serving women in community-based and clinical settings, I've witnessed how traditional mental health care often fails us—asking us to shrink, explain, or translate our pain.
My practice operates from an anti-oppression framework: I recognize that your anxiety, depression, and trauma are often rational responses to oppressive systems, not personal defects. I'm trained in EMDR, CBT, and solution-focused therapy, but more importantly, I'm committed to creating space where your full identity is welcomed—no code-switching, no performing, and no justifying your reality. This is therapy that centers your liberation, not just your symptoms.
"What if I'm too busy?"
You're already stretched thin—I know. That's why I've designed my practice to fit your life:
✓ 100% virtual – No commute, no waiting room, no extra time lost
✓ Flexible scheduling – Evening and weekend appointments available
✓ 53-minute sessions – Efficient and focused
✓ Frequency options – Weekly, biweekly, or whatever works for your schedule
✓ Join from anywhere – Your car, your bedroom, your office—wherever feels private
The truth: If you're waiting until you're "less busy" to start therapy, that day might never come. We'll work together to find a sustainable rhythm that honors your reality.
